Talking to Claude ยท Module 3 of 8
๐Ÿ“ฑ Shared phone

Your Grown-Up Opens It, You Do the Thinking

The phone belongs to your grown-up; the questions belong to you.

๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿฆฑ๐Ÿ“ฑ + ๐Ÿง’๐Ÿง  = ๐Ÿ’ฌ๐Ÿค–
Their account, their phone, your brain. That is the team.

๐ŸŽ’ What you need

โœ‹ Do this

  1. Before you touch the phone, write your first prompt on paper. Use module one: who, where, how many.
  2. Ask your grown-up to open Claude and check today's usage limits, because the free tier has limits and they change. Agree how many turns you get today. Ten is plenty.
  3. Read your written prompt out loud, then type it exactly. Do not add extra words while typing.
  4. Read the answer slowly. Underline on your paper the parts that are actually useful to you.
  5. Type one follow-up: 'Make that shorter and use words a nine-year-old knows.' Read the new answer. Notice it changed because you asked.
  6. Copy the best three lines of the answer onto your paper by hand. Now you own them even when the phone goes away.

๐Ÿ’ก Why it works

Claude's rules say the account belongs to an adult, so your grown-up stays the driver. That is not a punishment โ€” it means somebody is beside you when an answer looks strange. Writing prompts on paper first also saves turns, and on a shared phone with limits, saved turns are saved money.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Challenge

Get a useful answer in one single prompt, with no follow-ups. Harder than it sounds.
