a friend, sibling or parent willing to play along
ten minutes
the shared phone once, to check your pronunciation

✋ Do this

Learn the four lines in order. Greet, ask the name, give your name, say you are pleased to meet them.
Check each line once against the audio on the phone, then put the phone away for good.
Practise the whole conversation with a sibling, swapping roles so you have said both halves.
Now do it for real, with someone who has not seen you practise. Walk up, greet them with Nǐ hǎo, and run the whole exchange without stopping to translate.
Write your four lines out in characters on a piece of cardboard and hang it where people can see it. This is the Business Seed Record you made yourself.
Finish with 再见 — zàijiàn — and mean it.

💡 Why it works

A conversation you complete without pausing to translate is the point at which the language leaves your notebook and enters your mouth. Everything before this module was preparation for these four lines, and the four lines will now carry you into every future one.
