Здравствуйте. Меня зовут… Я из… Я учу русский язык. Я хочу учиться в России.
🎒 What you need
- a partner to play the interviewer
- twenty minutes
- the phone once, to check stress
✋ Do this
- Write your own version of the five sentences with your real name and your real home.
- Check every stress once against the audio, especially учиться — u-CHÍ-tsa — and Россия — ra-SSÍ-ya. Then put the phone away.
- Stand up and say the whole thing five times without notes. Standing matters — it is how you will actually deliver it.
- Now deliver it to a partner playing the interviewer, who shakes your hand and says Здравствуйте first. Do not break into another language at any point.
- Write the full introduction in Cyrillic by hand on cardboard and hang it up. Every letter on it is one you decoded yourself over eight modules.
- End with спасибо большое and a handshake.
💡 Why it works
This introduction is the single highest-value thing you can own in Russian, because it is both the interview opener and the way you will meet every Russian speaker for the rest of your life. Delivering it standing, live and unscripted is what makes it survive nerves.
🔥 Challenge
Deliver it to somebody who has actually studied in Russia, and ask them for one correction.
