Claude as Your Unpaid Assistant

Claude works well when you brief it like a new employee: context, task, format.

๐Ÿงพ context + ๐ŸŽฏ task + ๐Ÿ“ format = ๐Ÿค–โœ…
Three parts in every good prompt. Missing one is why answers come back useless.

๐ŸŽ’ What you need

โœ‹ Do this

  1. Ask the account holder to open Claude and check today's usage limits together โ€” the free tier has limits and they change, so plan a set number of turns before you start.
  2. Write a three-part prompt in your notebook first. Context: 'I am 14, in Kitwe, starting a service that types and prints CVs for people at the market.' Task: 'List the six most common mistakes in a handwritten CV.' Format: 'Six bullet points, under fifteen words each.'
  3. Type it, read the answer, and mark which bullets actually apply to people you know.
  4. Now do it badly on purpose: type just 'CV tips'. Compare the two answers in your notebook and write one sentence on the difference.
  5. Use one turn to have Claude poke holes in your plan: 'Here is my offer and price. What are the three biggest reasons this fails in my town?' Write the three reasons down. Do not argue with them yet.
  6. Answer each of those three reasons in your own words on paper. That page is your plan getting stronger.

๐Ÿ’ก Why it works

Claude has no idea where you live, what things cost there or who you are unless you say so โ€” it is not hiding that information, it genuinely does not have it. Context, task and format is the briefing a good manager gives, and it is the difference between generic internet advice and something usable at your market on Saturday.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Challenge

Get a genuinely useful answer using only one turn, because turns are limited and you are not rich.
