1. Produce one full sample of your actual service with Claude's help — a tidy CV, a set of birthday card messages, a market price board layout, a WhatsApp broadcast of maize and cassava prices, a study summary sheet.
2. Edit it hard by hand. Cut anything that sounds foreign to your town, fix names and places, and remove any sentence you could not defend if challenged.
3. Give it to one honest human to read before any customer sees it. Write down what they stumbled over and fix that.
4. Ethics moment, write these in your notebook and keep them: I never type another person's private details — ID numbers, medical matters, someone else's phone number — into any AI. I tell customers plainly that AI helped with the drafting. I never submit AI writing as my own schoolwork.
5. Write the exact sentence you will say to customers, for example: 'I draft this with an AI assistant and then check and finish it myself.' Practise it five times aloud.
6. File your finished sample in a folder or plastic sleeve. It is your portfolio now.
