Last updated 24 August 2026 · These terms apply when you buy or use any rise AFRICA skills course

1. What we are — and what we are not

If you need a recognised academic or professional qualification — for a licence, a visa, or a regulated trade — a Business Seed Record will not satisfy that requirement. Please check with the relevant authority before you pay.

2. What you get when you pay

"Lifetime access" means for as long as we operate the platform and the course remains published. If we retire a course you have bought, we will tell you and give you a reasonable period to download the material.

3. Prices and payment

• Prices are in United States dollars unless we tell you otherwise.
• Enrolment is arranged through WhatsApp or the payment method shown at checkout.
• Payment is handled by third-party providers. We never see or store your card or bank details.
• Any bank charges, mobile-money fees or currency-conversion costs are yours to pay.
• We may change prices at any time. A change never affects a course you have already bought.

4. Refunds

If a course does not work as described, tell us and we will put it right or refund you. That includes content that will not load, a course that does not match its description, or a Business Seed Record we fail to issue.

• Ask within 14 days of purchase.
• Email all@riseafricaskills.com or message us on WhatsApp, telling us the course and what went wrong.
• Approved refunds are returned by the same method you paid with, normally within 14 days.

We may decline a refund where you have completed most of the course and downloaded its materials, or where a Business Seed Record has already been issued in your name. This does not affect any statutory right you have in your own country.

5. The Business Seed Record

What it actually says

• That you completed the exercise. It names the seed you worked through and the date you finished it.
• A unique number and a verification URL, so anyone you show it to can check it is genuine and came from us.
• Nothing more. It does not state a grade, a competency level, or a professional standard.

What it is not

• It is not an academic or professional qualification.
• It is not accredited by any education authority, in any country.
• It will not satisfy a licensing body, a regulator, a visa requirement or a formal entry requirement. If you need something that will, you need an accredited institution — and we will tell you so rather than sell you this.
• It does not certify that you can perform the work competently. Only practice and real customers do that.

Practical notes

• It is issued in the name you give us, so please spell it correctly — corrections after issue take time.
• Some learners find it useful when approaching partners, suppliers or lenders, as evidence that they have done the groundwork. That is the honest extent of its value.
• We may withdraw a Record obtained dishonestly, for example where someone else completed the exercises.
• Do not present a Business Seed Record as an accredited qualification. Doing so breaches these terms, and may amount to misrepresentation in your own country.

6. Your account

• Give us accurate details, and keep your password to yourself.
• Your account is for you alone. Do not share login details — course access is per person.
• Tell us straight away if you think someone else is using your account.
• You can close your account at any time by emailing us. See our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.

7. Acceptable use

Please do not:

• Resell, republish or redistribute our course material without written permission.
• Share your account so others can avoid paying.
• Attempt to break into, disrupt or overload the platform.
• Upload unlawful content, or abuse our staff or other learners.
• Present a Business Seed Record as an accredited qualification.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Where the breach is minor we will warn you first.

8. Who owns the course material

Course text, structure, assessments and design belong to rise AFRICA skills. Buying a course gives you a personal licence to use it for your own learning and your own business — not a transfer of ownership.

You may: use what you learn to start and run your own business, print materials for your own use, and show your Business Seed Record to anyone.

You may not: sell or republish the material, use it to run a competing training course, or claim authorship of it.

Video lessons are hosted on YouTube and belong to the channels that made them. We link to them; we do not own them. Their own terms apply when you watch.

9. Accuracy, and the limits of our advice

• We do not guarantee any income, profit or business outcome. Results depend on your market, your effort and conditions outside anyone's control.
• Our courses are general training, not professional advice. For veterinary, medical, legal, financial or safety-critical decisions, consult a qualified professional in your country.
• Some courses cover activities that are regulated — flying drones, food handling, animal medicines. You are responsible for knowing and following the law where you live.
• If you find something in a course that is wrong, please tell us and we will correct it.

10. Learners under 18

Our rAs Kids courses are written for children aged 7 to 16.

• A parent, guardian or teacher must hold the account and agree to these terms on the child's behalf.
• Activities involving tools, motors, heat or flying objects must be supervised by an adult. The courses say so, and we mean it.
• Where a course involves a child earning money, the adult is responsible for the money, for any tax, and for the child's safety when dealing with customers.

11. AI-assisted content

Some course material on this platform is produced with the assistance of AI and reviewed before publication. Where a course teaches you to use an AI assistant, that provider's own terms and age requirements apply, and you must meet them.

If you use AI to help with work you sell to a customer, tell the customer. Our courses teach that as a rule, not a suggestion.

12. Availability

We aim to keep the platform available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may need to take it down for maintenance, and outages can happen at our hosting or payment providers.

13. Our liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim relating to a course is limited to the amount you paid for that course.

We are not liable for business losses, lost profits, or losses arising from decisions you take based on course material. Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded — and nothing here removes rights you have under the consumer law of your own country.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. Changes are not retrospective — the terms that applied when you bought a course continue to apply to that purchase.

If something has gone wrong, tell us first — most problems are quicker to fix directly. If we cannot resolve it, you keep every right you have under the consumer-protection law of your country.
